Alternatively, if you prefer to research yourself, visit the website of your Municipal Water Provider and review their Annual Water Quality Report (also called Consumer Confidence Report in some cases). When Chloramine is used instead of Free Chlorine, they’ll list the Disinfectant on the report as “Chloramines”, “MonoChloramine”, “Total Chlorine” or “Combined Chlorine”. If you can’t find the information regarding whether Chlorine or Chloramine is added to the water as a disinfectant, you can give the Municipal Plant a call to confirm. Of course, we’d be happy to do this for you as as well, simply provide us your zip code and we’ll do the rest!

I recommend this product
Great product support. Poor delivery of product.

The pre-purchase support was great. However there were a few problems when I received the product. First of all there were no instructions for installation. Not a problem, I was able to figure that out after going back and forth to Home Depot several times and purchasing $40 worth of fittings. I did not like that they used garden hose fittings on this product. I know its a hydroponic item, but that doesn't mean we use garden hoses for everything. There should have been an option to choose fittings types when making the purchase. After I had all the correct fittings I was able to hook the filter up to my water line. So I used Teflon tape on all my fittings and finally got everything tighten up or so I thought. Then I turned on the water and within seconds I had water shooting 15 feet in every direction and carbon everywhere. Turns out one of the blue canasters was very loosely tightened on one of the filters. Luckily they provided a tool that allowed me to tighten the caster water tight. This is where a list of instructions would have helped. They should have listed that canasters might not be tightened to specs. I am only taking one star off for this. But it sure did make a mess that caused my a lot of time and effort to clean up all the carbon particles and water.

Great review, Paul! These are all important points to make to help us better represent the product up front during purchase. Making some changes for this now so it's clear up front.
